I wanted vegetables with Mock Duck that cost 3 dollars extra for the mock duck...they also would not substitute any dish with veg tofu or mock duck....had to have meat ant the other costs extra....AND the food was not very good....my dish tasted sour. I might have been cool with that but then the server who knew we were not going to use the coupon failed to make us aware of the lunch combo specials (which would have made us very happy) and the food took about 30 minutes to come out. I think the people at Bambu are not honest with the prices they list on their menus. They charge you more then what it says on the menus. Their foods taste just like what you can cook at home, nothing extraordinary. The food portions are not generous for the money you pay for them. Not recommended. We go close to once a week. We have never had poor service and love the food. If anything I would say the service is to fast. I am usually there when I want to wind down and take my time. The owner is frequently there and comes to visit the tables. Around the 1st of the year they updated the menue and now have serveral smaller portion dishes with appitizer and or dessert. We like this as it alows us to have more than just the entree with out taking home a second meal. I have enjoyed everything I have had there but do have to say my favoite is the tiger pork. Liking the photo that you took, I ordered the Fried Potatoes with beef, my date ordered the Mongolian Beef, my close friend ordered the Tiger Pork, and his date ordered the Brocoli Stif-fry. We ended up sharing the different servings since it was so plentiful. Suffice to say, everything we ordered were tastful and the staff were more than happy to offer take-out trays for the food we couldnt finish. The girls loved it and us guys had no problem at all paying for it. I have to thank you again for providing this information on such a delightful restaurant and making my evening possible.
