My husband and I were at Mad Jacks today about 1pm. We had to to seat ourselves (after a waitress saw us & walk right by not saying anything to us or anyone else) & flag down a waiter. We ordered the scallops for an app. & the cuban sand. The waiter brought us the sandwich right away & said they just happen to have one ready. It had to have been sitting a while, the meat was dry and hard & not fresh. We did tell the manager and all he said was oh sorry. We told the waiter we would like a fresh one. We got it. Then we had to flag him down to get the bill. They weren’t even busy.

Went in for Thursdays’ night special Had the Ribs dinner for two special. Before we could finish half the wings (which were sub par) the ribs were served. Looked great. But the plastic it was microwaved in tasted like *** ! The veggies looked good but were quite rubbery and bland Being quite disappointed with the meal, the server was quite gracious but ended up paying $25.00 for two beers & 4 chicken wings(YUCK) Once a year we stop by this neighborhood joint hoping they’ve improved, but I’m ALWAYS let down. Won’t be back!

I love the food on both the regular and Gluten Free menu, plus most of their foods are MSG free. There Greek salad with Chicken and Filet Appetizers are Excellent. My family and I have had several large gatherings in their party room and we love the place and the food!

I was in last weekend (at Brooklyn Park location) and this was one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a restaurant. I was out on the patio and waited quite some time before the waitress came over to our table. She was waiting on other tables, completely ignoring ours, and then would go stand behind the bar while we were waiting to put in an order for drinks. She finally came over and we ordered our drinks. They too took a while to get. In the meantime she continued to help other tables as she ignored ours. The people sitting next to us had to go up the patio bar and get their own menu. They became so frustrated that they left. We ordered our food and a drink. My drink never came so my boyfriend went up to the bar to get it. And again it took the waitress a very long time to get us our bill. Once we got it we saw that they had charged me for the drink she never brought me. When my boyfriend brought that to her attention she was really questioning him about it and did not really believe him. She did finally take it off the bill. I decided to mention something to the manager and he really had no concern about our unhappy experience. I was really disappointed how he handled it, especially because he was a manager. My boyfriend and his friends go there often and have not had that bad of service before. But after that experience they will not be returning. I would not recommended this restaurant to anyone.

Have ate there Many times with my Mom, sisters, grandma, and my girls! Food has always been good and the Service as well! HH I have yet to enjoy myself, yet when there I saw the Good times happening around their Large Bar!

We had a good meal at Mad Jacks, in line with the previous reviews. There was a surprise. We paid for the tab and left a cash tip for our server. When my monthly credit card bill arrived, about 20% was added to the credit card charge. After 2 calls to the manager, no refund yet. Beware giving them your credit card.

Mad Jack’s happy hour is one of the best in the Twin Cities. You can get your favorite drink at half price, as well as most of the items on their appetiser list at half price. I’m not aware of many other places where you can get a couple of beers and a large serving of hot wings for about $8.

I went to the Vadnais Mad Jacks after work with some of my co-workers. I had the Bleu Cheese Burger and it was great! They have a magician on Mondays and she’s amazing! I highly recommend this place and if you can go on a Monday, be sure to ask for the magician. She said she also works at the Mad Jacks in Brooklyn Park on Tuesdays.

We ate there last night and it was good. I had the Tilapia and while it was a little fishy tasting, I still liked it. We shared the Milkyway Mousse Cake for dessert. YUMMY!
