Hula Hut is a very fun, tropical-themed restaurant located just west of downtown on Lake Austin. While there is plenty of seating space inside the restaurant, I enjoyed my visit at the outdoor patio bar and in the outside dining room.

I tried the fish tacos, which were absolutely amazing! Each taco had a large fish fillet (possibly tilapia or other mild white fish) which was lightly covered with a jalapeno-lime cream sauce and served in a fresh flour tortilla on a bed of sliced red cabbage and cilantro.  I also added shredded cheese and a ton of Hula Hut’s fresh house salsa to make these some of the best fish tacos I have ever had the pleasure of eating.  Beans and rice were served on the side and were pretty good, although my attention was solely on the fish tacos!

My companion ordered a chicken burrito which was also a very big hit.  The burrito was very big!
