Lazydog-outside This is one of the dining rooms at Lazy Dog.  There is a stage in the back of the room where there is often live music.

Lazydog-inside The rooftop patio is the place to be on a nice day!  There are many tables lined up on the rooftop patio, with both umbrellas and a misting system to help keep guests cool.

Lazydog-rooftopdeck One of my companions and I shared the Reuben and the Philly Cheese Steak Sandwiches.  Both were excellent! The Reuben had just the right amount of corned beef and sauerkraut and the bread was perfectly toasted.  The fries that came with the sandwiches were also very good!  They were very crunchy and had a seasoning mix of parmesan, rosemary and garlic baked into it.  So flavorful and good!

Lazydog-reuben The Philly was loaded with tender slices of beef, sauteed mushrooms, peppers and onions and covered with melted provolone.  Messy but delicious!

Lazydog-philly Several of my companions ordered the Po’ Boy Sandwich, which had smoked brisket, smoked pork, beans and coleslaw piled on a hoagie roll

Lazydog-ribs Our service at Lazy Dog was pretty good.  A few members of our party had stopped the afternoon of our visit to see if we could make an advance reservation for 15 people on the rooftop patio.  The manager was very nice but explained that they do not take reservations on the rooftop patio, but that they would do their best to try to accommodate us.  When we arrived at 5:00, there were enough tables set aside for our party that we were all able to sit together.  That is good service!  Our server had great suggestions, was good about getting drinks to us in a timely fashion, and was cool about separating the check for our big party.

Overall Impression: Excellent food and fun atmosphere on the rooftop patio.  Great service.

  1. I was at Smokey Bones the other day and saw the greatest invention I have ever seen! It was a football field goal post with a football attached to urinal screen in the urinal and it was genius! Guys aim at it while relieving themselves. You have to see it yourself, the website of the company that makes them is at http://www.direct-aim.com and every sports bar should have these!

  2. The service is very well and above the pictures you share is very nice.

  3. I was out of state for most of the summer and so these mini reviews are
fill-ins for the time I was gone. Never fear, many more local reviews
    coming soon!

  4. ok, i’m not trying to be rude… but why are we seeing reviews to restaurants NOT IN the Twin Cities?
