Atmosphere: As one would expect from a restaurant named American Motorsports, the restaurant is decorated with a variety of Nascar memorabilia.  The bar area is a popular place to be during racing events, with bar stools surrounding the bar as well as some booths along the far wall.

What We ordered: We started with the Soup du Jour which happened to be Clam Chowder.  The soup was flavorful and delicious! It was creamy and seasoned with just a hint of dill, giving it a unique rather than traditional flavor for clam chowder.

We also tried the Deep Fried Mushrooms.  These were hot, crunchy and tasty fresh whole mushrooms battered and fried to a golden brown then served with a side of ranch dressing.

We also ordered the Walleye Fingers, which were long fleshy fingers of fried walleye fillets.  They were lightly seasoned and fried to a perfect golden brown and served with homemade tartar sauce on the side.

Service: My companion and I ate at an odd time of day and were the only people sitting in the dining room, all other patrons were watching the races in the bar area.  Our service was decent, but drinks were not always refilled as quickly as needed.
Overall Impression: Cool, fun place to get a bite and watch Nascar events.  Good Happy Hour specials and amazing clam chowder!

  1. i love the caaa baaaaaaa

  2. This place just has good old fashion bar food. They also have a cool car show setup in the summer on Wednesdays

  3. The Pulled Pork Sandwich is excellent and the Onion Strings are great as well. You do have to ask for a substitution to get the Onion Strings as a side. Great Food and Great Owners. If you like cool cars and hotrods, then you want to come on Wednesday nights when the weather is warn and sunny and you will see some really nice cars.

  4. Great place to meet. Food is solid and service is quick. We go there for meetings all the time and are always happy with the quality and service.

  5. This dive is still open? You wait 45 minutes to an hour for food. Bartenders are bothered to make a drink. Not close this place today. Fire the lazy and see if maybe something can open that can be worth something.

    • everything ok besides the bartenders fri and sat nights. completely agree with chad. most unfriendly bartenders i have ever encountered not to mention the crowd it attracts.

  6. This bar is great and it really completes the appetite of people especially to its own community which is the racing community. I think the foods are delicious and healthy. This is the place where people wants to relax and chill as they eat the best foods here. More power!

  7. I ate here once and I liked it. I also had the mushrooms. I remember the hostess and servers being some of the most friendly people in the service industry that I’ve ever experienced. If I lived in that area, I’d go back for the customer service alone.
