In appreciation for their service and
sacrifice, Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar restaurants coast to
coast will honor U.S. veterans and active duty military with a free meal
on Veterans Day – November 11, 2009. All U.S. veterans and active duty
military with proof of current or former U.S. military service will enjoy
a free entrée from a selection of six signature favorites.

With nearly 2,000 restaurants nationwide,
we are hoping to make this the largest Veterans Day celebration ever as
a fitting tribute to our military heroes sacrifice and service to protect
America’s cherished freedoms.

  1. In keeping with Veterans Day tradition, U.S. President Barack Obama today laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknowns at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia, saying, “While it is important and proper that we mark this day, it is far more important we spend all our days determined to keep the promises that we’ve made to all who answer this country’s call.”

  2. Veteran’s Day is celebrated in honor of our veteran soldiers who fought to protect our country. This is a good way to show them how we appreciate their deeds. Hope this continues ’till the next generations.
