Over the past six months there has been a huge increase in website/services that offer a “Daily Deal” to the masses at major discounts. Many of the ones I have seen for the Twin Cities are centered around local restaurants, so I thought I would post about the different sites that are offering these deals.
Crowd Cut– Offers one local deal per day with minimum 50% savings on various services and products at local businesses and restaurants. Limited number of each deal (usually around 800). Once it is sold out, the deal is over. Printable voucher is good for one visit within 90 days.
Daily Planet– Daily Discount Deals
Deal Stork– Offers one deal every few days. Overall Minimum purchase must be met before the deal is activated. Incentive program- buy a deal and get three of your friends to purchase it also and you will get an additional deal for FREE!
Groupon– One new deal is featured per day with excellent discounts but the deal is good only if enough people purchase that day’s deal. Coupon is printable and must be redeemed in one visit. Groupon has an incentive program- Send your friends a custom link and if they make their first Groupon purchase within 72 hours from the time they click on the referral link you send them, Groupon will send you an email to tell you that they’ve put $10 worth of credits in your account.
Half Off Twin Cities – Deals worth at least 50% discount offered. Limited number of each discount offered and deal is available until they are all purchased (window longer than a day!) Half Off Twin Cities also shows you upcoming deals and when they are scheduled to go on sale.
Living Social– Offers deals at 50% of the regular price (ex $25 for $50 worth of food and drink). Coupons must be redeemed within 3 months from date of purchase but you can buy an unlimited amount of these coupons. One one coupon can be used per visit. Living Social has an incentive program- You can receive a free deal if you get 3 friends to purchase the same deal. You will also get $5 credit for each time someone you refer buys their first deal on Living Social.
