One of America’s favorite past times…eating! Every city in America has its famous restaurants, the Twin Cities of course is no exception. The twin cities are full of great eateries. I’m going to give you my top ten, the type of cuisine and some insight into the atmosphere. When visiting the twin cities be sure to visit these restaurants, and do enjoy!

Top Ten Eateries in the Twin Cities

1.Cosetta’s Italian Market and Pizzeria. This is an Italian restaurant and market serving traditional Italian cuisine at amazing prices. This place serves the most amazing sandwiches, fresh cold cuts, the best cheeses, and of course the ever popular meatball. They also have all of the great and filling Italian pastas, lasagna, tortellini, fettuccine alfredo, etc. This is a laid back casual restaurant and also offers a service online. You can order large platters or whole meals with their online “restaurant.” Be sure to check out Cosetta’s when you’re in the area!

2.Hell’s Kitchen, Damn Good Food! Hells Kitchen is located in downtown Minneapolis. This is an American eatery, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. “Rather than serving over-the-top fancy food, we just serve real food, carefully prepared from scratch. Hell’s Kitchen is a great restaurant with a laid back atmosphere and staff. Happy hour is from 3-6pm everyday, 7 days a week offering not only specials on drinks but food as well. If you are in the Twin Cities you can’t miss out on this one of a kind eatery.

3.Matt’s Bar is an American style eatery focusing on amazingly cooked burgers and pub food. Home of the “Jucy Lucy” hamburger. Revered as one of the best burgers in the Twin Cities. This is an old school atmosphere boasting a décor from the 1950′s laid back, great place to have a beer, hang out with friends, and of course enjoy the one and only, the original “Jucy Lucy”

4.Fogo De Chao Churrascaria this is an American steakhouse with a Brazilian twist. This place definitely offers a one of a kind dining experience. When you enter the restaurant you will of course be escorted to your table, you can enjoy a drink from the full bar, enjoy a salad from their amazing choices of imported cheeses, cured meat, and Brazilian sides, when you are ready to dine you turn your table card to the green side. Gaucho chefs then come to the table and begin table side service, you choose from 15 different cuts of delicate fire roasted meats that are brought to your table, sliced and served by the chefs. When full turn your card to the red side, if you have a change of heart you can turn your card back over and start again. They also serve an array of delicious desserts. If you are in the area don’t miss out on experiencing this interesting and amazingly tasty eatery.

5.Brasa Rotisserie is a Latin American restaurant offering all local raised and grown foods, raised on family owned farms in the area. This is a wonderful and tasty dining experience, and a calm and comfortable atmosphere. They favor the natural and create all meals with no MSG or other unnatural additives. They also host an amazing vegetarian menu.

6.Broders’ Pasta Bar offers a wonderful Italian cuisine. The restaurant was inspired by the family’s trip to Bologna, Italy while there they participated in chef schools specializing in of course, Italian cuisine. “ We discovered that the roots of Italian cuisine lie in rustic, uncomplicated peasant cooking but that, as with so many things Italian, is synthesized to the point of pure, heavenly art. A great family atmosphere with authentic and delicious Italian food. If you have time be sure to sit a spell, and taste the wonder that is Broders’!

7.Annie’s Parlour is another American eatery known for it’s juicy and tasty burgers. This is a family environment with a traditional American menu and of coures…the burgers! Annie’s also has outdoor seating which is lovely when you are getting a feel for the beautiful Twin Cities!

8.Good Day Cafe is an American eatery specializing in breakfast and brunch. Wonderful omelets and the traditional American breakfast. If you are up and looking for a good way to start the day Good Day Cafe is the place to be. Enjoy a wonderful breakfast, start the day off right and continue your exploration of the Twin Cities.

9.Chino Latino is a wonderful Caribbean eatery, great food, casual atmosphere. Not terribly expensive and located in beautiful uptown Minneapolis. They have a wide variety of dish choices and many dessert choices as well. If you are looking for a little bit of a different flavor this is the perfect place to try out Caribbean flare.

10.Last but not least the great 112 Eatery. This is a bit more upscale although still reasonably priced. The food here is not only wonderful tasting, but the presentations are beautiful. Very friendly staff and atmosphere. They also have a very extensive wine selection, hosting over 50 different choices in sparkling, white and red. Also has a collection of limited edition white and red wines. If you are looking for a night out on the town starting with wine and dinner, this restaurant is just the relaxing atmosphere to start off a wonderful evening exploring the beautiful Twin Cities.

On another note, I am always looking for the next big thing in the world of culinary art. If you are an artist whose medium is food there are plenty of chef schools and even online schools offering degrees in culinary arts. If you are interested in pursuing a career in this…please do! Add a little something to the food world, and let me taste it!
