One of the worst recipes I ever made was a savory casserole that had some cinnamon in it. I should have know better but after I made it none of us could eat it and I had to make something else.

One of my favorite things to make is lasagna. My kids loved it growing up and still request it sometimes when they are home.

This looks like a great book. I’d sure put it to use if I won.

This might be slightly cheating with worst recipe since I didn’t make it, but it definitely was THE worst I have in my memory… so we’ll roll with it. When I was about 6 my mom was making Kraft mac and cheese, and realized we were out of milk. She subbed BLUE CHEESE dressing, in what I hope was a moment of delirium. Nastiest thing I’ve ever tasted.

Fun giveaway!! I think my favorite recipe of the moment is pumpkin soup! I feel like “recipe” should be in quotes though… I came up with it in college and there’s all of like 5 ingredients. :)

The worst meal I made was homemade chicken alfredo and the sauce was like glue and it was gritty. and just bad.

I “liked” the link on Facebook as well…my wife would LOVE this! Anne Burrell is her favorite food personality of all time and she called dibs on her for the new season of “Next Iron Chef” months in advance of the premiere once we found the list of competitors online.

Worst recipe? Probably the time I made sauerbraten. Don’t get me wrong, it tasted great, but the smell of the house, the lengthy prep time, and the fact that my wife and child had a terrible stomach bug and couldn’t eat any of it AND we were moving in a mere day or two, made the whole ordeal a disaster.

Best recipe? An amazingly simple dish from Bon Appetit that we made for Thanksgiving last year that consisted of roasted red and golden beets, baby red potatoes, yams, and brussels sprouts. Amazing!

My worst recipe was cooking game hens. I didn’t put them in the right way so the juices didn’t drain and they were all full of bloody juice so we couldn’t eat them.

worst recipe – I tried to make a rotel meatloaf once… sounded so good and I was so excited. When i turned the meatloaf out of the pan, it was like … meatloaf soup. I cried in to Steve’s arms as he assured me it was fine and we could ‘make it work’ – whatever that means!

Favorite recipe is this mix of avocado, onion, tomato, cilantro and lime juice. It’s like guac, but not smashed down into a dip. Steve and I love it and eat it by the spoonful :) Super easy and amazing!

worse recipe is not mine but a good lesson for us all. Sometimes too much or too big is just that. A friend made olive balls. bisquick with cheese wrapped arround a green olive and baked. She took the jumbo ones instead of the small ones. When we bit in to them it was one big salt lick. We hid them in her plants. She was so proud of them we didn’t have the heart to tell her. Those poor plants. The olives were too big and salty for the recipe

My favorite recipe is steakl diane. pound a steak until a hlaf an inch. Cook over high heat in a pan. After cooked to rare or to one less than your standand for steak for example medium rare and you like medium. Take the steak and tent to keep warm. Add one shallot, one tablespoon butter. when cooked add one teaspoon dijon mustard. If too thick add beef broth or water. you want it gravy like. When its to were you want it add 1/4 cup brady and flame. When flame is done add steaks and serve .

One of my favorite recipe to make is stuffed pasta shells. I stuff them with a mixture of mushrooms, spinach, ricotta and parmesan cheese and serve them with a vodka-rosee-sauce. Very simple and delish!

The worst dish I’ve ever made was this indian style curry-chicken with mango. It was so disgusting that we ended up ordering take-out! The fruit turned to mush in the sauce, it was just too sweet… Yuk.

Worst meal I ever cooked (and never served to anyone) was a tofu dish I was trying so I could impress my new vegetarian daughter in law. I tasked the tofu and it tasted like nothing so I figured a lot of spice would be good. I went to the spice rack and looked at all the spices. I should probably say at this point that I do not cook, my husband does all the cooking. Anyway I picked the spices based on their name and not taste. I coated the tofu pieces in a spice mixture and was going to pan fry them. All the spices burned in like 2 minutes and the tofu melted. Needless to say the kitchen smelled like burned food when the guests arrived and we had pizza.

I am famous for making different concoctions and a lot of them haven’t been the greatest. One time when I was messing around with my meatloaf recipe I goofed and it turned out to be a brick of hard burger. NOT GOOD!!

My favorite recipe to make: I LOVE LOVE LOVE Pasta Carbonara! I shied away from it for years, and I was a fool. I finally tried this recipe from the Pioneer Woman, and eventually memorized the recipe and have gained about 25 pounds since I learned it. I kind of think it’s worth it.
